A Golden Morning With Kaitlyn & Snoopy | Delray Beach Equestrian Portraits

February in Florida brought some truly magical light—and even more magical moments—with Kaitlyn and her heart horse, Snoopy. We met for this sunrise equestrian portrait session in Delray Beach, FL, where we captured their story just before an exciting milestone: shortly after this session, Kaitlyn and Snoopy were named Champions in the Younger 3'0" Adult Hunters. They went on to win three over fences and the classic, a true testament to their growing partnership.

Kaitlyn purchased Snoopy back in 2021, and since then, their partnership has only grown stronger. Competing in both the hunters and equitation, the two have spent countless hours working toward goals that are now paying off in the ring. But what stood out most during this session wasn’t the ribbons—it was the softness between them. The way he drops his head for her. The way she smiles at him like he's the best decision she ever made. (Because he is.)

We began just as the morning fog lifted—golden light streaming through the trees, a quiet stillness in the air. Kaitlyn chose three outfits that perfectly balanced comfort and style, allowing her to feel both elegant and relaxed throughout the morning. From a cozy, cream knit layered over a sundress, to a playful floral blouse paired with distressed jeans, and finally a soft, patterned top with sage green pants—each look told a different part of their story. Every change brought a new mood, but the connection between her and Snoopy stayed constant and beautiful.

Snoopy, a bay gelding with the kindest expression, was every bit the gentleman—posing like a seasoned pro and giving us so many soft, soulful moments. We also took time to capture updated conformation images, as Kaitlyn has recently made him available for lease. It's always my goal to create portraits that serve a purpose—whether it's emotional, artistic, or practical—and I'm so glad we were able to do all three here.

There’s something about the way a horse nuzzles into their person that just stops time. And that’s exactly what we captured.
