Horse & Rider Portrait Session | Natalie, Winston & Charlie
High school senior sessions are always special, but Natalie’s was extra sweet because she included both her dog, Winston, and her horse, Charlie. We split her session into two unique parts, first capturing Winston’s playful personality at a local park, and then heading to Cedar Creek Equestrian Center in De Pere, Wisconsin, for her time with Charlie.
A Senior Session Full of Personality
Natalie started her session at a nearby park with her dog, Winston. This wasn’t just a simple walk in the park, Winston is full of personality and wowed us with his collection of tricks. From showing off his happy smile to hopping up for hugs, he clearly stole the show for a while. These images perfectly captured their bond, and I loved seeing how much joy he brought to Natalie during this part of the session.
Sunset With Charlie at Cedar Creek
After the park, we traveled to Cedar Creek Equestrian Center where Charlie, Natalie’s chestnut gelding, was waiting. The golden evening light gave us the perfect backdrop for timeless portraits. Natalie chose a couple of beautiful outfits that complemented Charlie’s rich coloring, and together they created the most elegant images.
One of my favorite moments was when Charlie dropped his head down toward Natalie as if he was hugging her, it was such a sweet reflection of their connection. From leaning against the white fences to walking side by side in the arena, every image spoke to their bond and the role horses play in our lives.
A Perfect Blend of Stories
What made Natalie’s senior session so unique was the balance between playful and heartfelt moments. With Winston, we captured laughter and fun. With Charlie, we created timeless portraits filled with grace and emotion. Together, the gallery tells Natalie’s story beautifully.
